Kinlet United Cricket Club
This is a Village Club playing friendly fixtures on Sunday afternoons and Thursday evenings between late April and mid-September.
The ground is situated a ‘couple of six’ hits from Grade 1 Kinlet Church and Kinlet Hall – and was judged one of Britain’s ten most beautiful grounds in a competition run by the Daily Telegraph in 2008.
Players from Kinlet and nearby parishes are welcome, regardless of age, ability or experience. Players of less than ten and over sixty five have represented the club. A typical Kinlet teams includes players from their teens to their fifties with a wide range of abilities. Competitive cricket is played but it is the belief that the fun of playing and the companionship of team mates and opponents is more important than the result.
There is a three day (two nights) tour to Wiltshire in early September, playing friendly teams and staying in Marlborough, which offers excellent value.
Annual subscriptions and match payments are kept as low as possible to give players good value but keep our finances in order.
